In the wake of Hurricane Beryl’s devastation, we partnered with the Sandals Foundation to create a swift, social media-driven campaign to raise vital relief donations to rebuild homes and communities across Jamaica, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, and Grenada.
In July 2024, Hurricane Beryl left widespread destruction across Caribbean islands, disrupting communities where the Sandals Foundation has long been an integral support system. The immediate need for resources to aid rebuilding efforts was clear, but the challenge lay in quickly mobilising donations in a crowded media space.
With limited time to coordinate, we faced the dual challenge of rapidly crafting an impactful narrative while reaching a diverse, globally dispersed audience emotionally connected to the Caribbean.

We identified the need for a timely campaign that celebrated the Caribbean’s vibrant culture, scenic beauty, and the resilience of its people to inspire both empathy and action. Through social listening, we uncovered that messaging centred on solidarity and hope resonated powerfully with audiences, fostering emotional connections. Additionally, we learned that urgency-driven content was essential for cutting through the digital clutter and driving high engagement, making it a critical element for maximising the campaign's impact.
To address the challenge, we launched the “Caribbean Strong” campaign, a reactive initiative leveraging social media’s emotional impact to drive support. Combining compelling visuals, urgency-driven copy, and authentic storytelling, we highlighted both the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl and the resilience of affected communities. Collaborating in real-time with teams on the ground and aid volunteers capturing powerful, firsthand content, we produced a series of assets that inspired empathy and encouraged action, maximising engagement and donations.
