Kate Ross and Amy McCulloch set up the digital marketing agency eight&four back in 2008 in a dining room, in the most difficult economic cirumstances for businesses in over 20 years. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength, to 8 full time staff, global clients, award winning work, and a Soho office. Pretty good work for a couple of 24 year olds in the middle of the worst recession this century.

In the three years since eight&four began, Kate and Amy have gained a unique insight into both the ‘digital’ world and the trials and tribulations of setting up in business. As such, the eight&four founders are regularly invited to speak at events and conferences about life at eight&four and their digital marketing expertise.

eight&four took part in a Dragon’s Den style event for local colleges, offering advice to 16-18 year old students about starting up in business
